This article is an introduction how to use the Tarot for maximum benefit in 3 easy steps. The Tarot is long underestimated for its effectiveness for daily guidance and problem solving. Many people do not understand the benefits the Tarot has to offer and how to use it effectively. We are very lucky to have such a powerful yet gentile self help tool at our fingertips. The Tarot has nothing to do with magic; it is about common sense and a willingness to learn the meaning of the cards to be able to gain great support from this insightful, magnificent, divination tool.
1. To introduce you to the Tarot you have to get yourself a deck
Choose a deck that suits you – The deck I use is the Rider Waite Deck for it is easy to read and many good books are written with this deck in mind.
Choose a book that explains the cards – You can also buy a book and deck together. There are some great deck and book combinations you can buy online.
You can absolutely learn the skill by yourself or you can join a class where you learn and practice together with other students.
2. Now you have a deck and book this is what you do
Take the cards out of the box and lay them out one by one. On a table would be the easiest, if you don’t have a big table to your disposition, place a white or light coloured table cloth on the floor in a quiet corner where no one will stop on your cards.
The cards in themselves have no unusual powers, they are cards, but the energy you put into your deck is special. The cards deserve to be used respectfully. Let no one else use your cards but you. The only time someone can touch your cards is when they come to you for a reading to seek advice from the Tarot.
Pick up the cards one by one and get a feeling for the card, for now that is plenty. You just started a new journey have fun with it and do not try to learn too much at once.
To give the cards your vibration you can also put them under your pillow when you sleep. It is a good thing to keep the cards with you as much as possible. Make sure they are well kept in a lovely (silk) cloth. I have made pouches for my cards with a string cord so they can not fall out or get damaged.
3. Make it fun and keep a dairy of your readings
Every time you ask a question do it with awareness. This is the key to success in using the Tarot cards and key in problem solving and decision making. The moment your question is clear in your head and you can speak it out loud, you can be sure that the answer will be revealed to you. This is the power of the Tarot.
In the beginning make it your habit to pick one card a day and contemplate for a few moments what the card says to you. To make it easy look the card up in the book and write the core meaning down in your diary.
At night time pick up your card again and review your day with the card in mind. This is an easy, effective and precise way to learn the Tarot in depth. Write down your impressions in your diary.
Do this every day and if you take one different card a day you will have a firm grasp of the Tarot in 78 days.
To your Tarot succes,
